Dieser alte Mann ist gefährlich, böse und sein Weltbild ist paranoid. Ausserdem ist er ein Innovator: "Cut up", als literarische Methode von Brion Gysin erfunden, wurde von William S. Burroughs zur Vollendung gebracht: "The method ist simple. Here is one way to do it. Take a page. Like this page. Now cut down the middle and across the middle. You have four sections: 1 2 3 4... one two three four. Now rearrange the sections placing section four with section one and section two with section three. And you have a new page..." Diese Technik wird nun konsequent auf Werk und Leben des William S. Burrough angewandt. Im Zentrum steht dabei das Handbuch der Cut up Generation: "Electronic Revolution". Der Virologe im Sprachlabor betrachtet das Versuchsobjekt Burroughs als Material, wobei es zu harten Schnitten kommt.
